MARIANNE HAVEMAN

March 22, 1945 – December 21, 2023

Marianne Haveman (VanHulzen-Warners), born March 22, 1945, went to meet Jesus peacefully Thursday, December 21, 2023, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Marianne was born and raised in Luverne, Minnesota. Marianne enjoyed reading, watching the birds, and any kind of crafts, visits from her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

Marianne is survived by her children Nancy (Don) Smith of Wayland, Michigan, Dan (Hallee) Warners of Jenison, Michigan, Doug (Tracy) Warners of Jenison, Michigan, and Don (Kathy) Warners of Hudsonville, Michigan; grandchildren Travis and Margaret Smith, Lacey and Jonah Hozee, Tony and Skylar Smith, Tanner and Tori Smith, Toby Smith, Brendan Warners, Brianna Warners, Allison Warners, Caylie Warners, Makayla and Justin Ostroskie; step-grandchildren Cory Dreyer, Taylor Dreyer, Sean Cramer and Amber Gessner; 10 great-grandchildren and also 2 great-grandchildren to be born this year 2024; sisters Jan (Rog) Reitsma of Sioux Falls, S.D., Barb (Verlyn) Ruiter of Leota, Minn., and Faith (Bob) Prins of Chandler, Minn; sister-in-law Linda Van Hulzen of Sioux Falls; many uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews and friends.

Marianne is preceded in death by her baby brother Vernon Van Hulzen; mother Caroline Evelyn (Broekhuis) Van Hulzen; father Herman Van Hulzen; stepmother Helen ( Tinklenberg) Van Hulzen, and brother James (Jim) Van Hulzen

A memorial service was held on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 6 p.m. at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home-Wayland Chapel.

An additional service will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Edgebrook Care Center Verdoes Room, 301 5th Ave. W, Edgerton, MN 56128 at 11:00 a.m. with a light luncheon for those who would like to visit with the family after the memorial service.

A private family burial will be held at a later time at Edgerton Hillside Cemetary.
