Campion is New Preschool Teacher at EPS

Olivia Campion is the new preschool teacher at Edgerton Public School. She is teaching the four year olds, taking the place of Courtney Gunnink, who replaced kindergarten teacher Brenda Kleinjan, who retired at the end of the last school year.

Olivia has been a teacher for five years. She is from Parkston, S.D. She graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University in 2017 and went on to teach for one year at Verndale, Minn. which is located near Brainerd. From there she went to Ivanhoe where she taught for the past four years.

Olivia and her husband Levi live in South Dakota. They have one child named Nola. Levi works for Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS) and Olivia commutes to Edgerton.

Olivia said that the reason she chose to be a teacher was because she wanted a job where she could spend time with children. Her favorite part of teaching is the students. When she is not teaching, she spends time with her family, reading, or enjoying the great outdoors.
