HARLEY RUSSELL PETERSEN

Harley R. Petersen, passed away in Edgerton, Minnesota, Tuesday, November 14, 2023. A memorial service was held Thursday, November 16, 2023, in the Verdoes Room at Edgebrook Care Center, Edgerton.

Harley was born July 7, 1937, and raised in Sanger, California, and later moved to Parlier, California, where he attended high school. He attended college at Dana College in Blair, Nebraska, where he met his first wife Beth. After Beth’s passing he married Elaine Bolt, Edgerton..

He was a teacher in Blair schools, and later owned a variety store, construction, bull dozers, owned a pig farm, worked in sales manufacturing of farm equipment and as a truck driver.

Harley enjoyed flying his Bonanza plane, camping trips with the family, fishing with grandsons, and playing the piano. He loved Christian music. He loved being with his family and friends having fun.

Harley is survived by his second wife Elaine, brother Ron Petersen, son Russ Petersen, step-sons Doug Bolt and Dale Bolt, daughter-in-law Sue, grandsons Jacob Petersen (Yuka), Jason and Michael Petersen.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Elna Petersen, wife Beth, son Bradley, and sister Janice.
