LAVONNE H. ROACH
June 4, 1938 – January 21, 2023
Lavonne H. Roach (Christians), age 84, of Byron Center, Mich., was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, January 21, 2023.
Lavonne was born June 4, 1938, to George and Mattie Christians on their farm in Edgerton, Minn. Von enjoyed cooking, baking, going shopping, and playing cards, especially Rummy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; granddaughter, Lindsey (Sivyllis) Vogelaar; son-in-law, Wayne Haveman; brother and sister-in-law, Clares (Dena) Christians, and brother, Rolland Christians.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Marcia (Ron) Brock, Sandra (Robert) Dow, Harley Romeyn, Janice (Steve) Huyser; grandchildren, Stephanie (Ethan) Knoper, Troy (Meghan Stamps) Brock, Amanda (Jeffrey Laseur) Brock, Ryan (Sarah) Vogelaar, Courtney (Eric) McKeever, Brandon Romeyn, Amber Romeyn and Ross Eller, Megan (Austin) Friedrich, Jessica Haveman; great-grandchildren, Nova, with another one on the way; brothers, Byron (Andrea) Hoogwerf, Jerry (Verla) Blom; sister-in-law, Joyce Christians; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Colby Pals and her son, Scott Pals.
A service in celebration of Von’s life was held Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 12:00 noon at The Center Church, Byron Center, Mich .
