FLORENCE VANDEN BOSCH

September 24, 1922 – November 18, 2022
Florence Vanden Bosch passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the age of 100 years, 1 month and 25 days at the Edgebrook Care Center in Edgerton, Minnesota. Funeral services were held Friday, November 25, 2022; 1:00 p.m., at Colonial Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Pastor Marlin Van Schepen officiating. Interment was in Hillside Cemetery, Edgerton.
Special music was provided by Dallas and Renee Roskamp singing His Eye Is On The Sparrow. Brenda Hamm was pianist and the congregation sang Nearer, Still Nearer. The recessional was I Know That My Redeemer Liveth.
Casketbearers were Shane Vanden Bosch, Corey Vanden Bosch, Jeff Vanden Bosch, Heath Kooiman, Wade Kooiman, Nate Goracke, and Tristen Pals. Honorary casketbearers were Carmen Knevelbaard, Marcy Pals, Jennifer Andreasz, and Kodi Goracke.
Florence was born to Peter and Anna (Rozeboom) Roskamp on September 24, 1922, in Edgerton, where she grew up on a farm with a very large and loving family.
On July 14, 1941, she married Ed Vanden Bosch. They were married for 30 years and were blessed with 5 children: Roy, Maxine, Rob, Iva and Mari. She resided in Edgerton while Eddie served his country in WWII. After his discharge in 1945, they moved to their farm west of Edgerton until he passed away on May 14, 1972. She then moved to Edgerton and was employed at the Edgebrook Care Center and the Edgerton Co-op Creamery.
She was a charter member of the Bethel Christian Reformed Church.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Maxine Cook of Grass Valley, Calif., Rob Vanden Bosch of Edgerton, Iva (Ken) Lane of Anthem, Ariz., and Mari (Wayne) Kooiman of New London, Minn., sister, Mona Westera of Marshall, Minn., 9 grandchildren and their spouses, 23 great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eddie, 1 son, Roy, 3 daughters-in-law, Shirley, Lou, and Helen, 1 son-in-law, Don Cook, 1 grandson, Darron West, 1 brother, 8 sisters, and many friends.
