February 1, 1933 – August 16, 2022

Celia Kuipers Moret was brought home to her Lord and Saviour on August 16, 2022, in her home, surrounded with family.

She was born to Peter and Hattie (Verbrugge) Kuipers on February 1, 1933. She was raised on a farm near Edgerton, Minn., along with 7 siblings.

She was united in marriage to Roger Moret for 32 years prior to his passing in 1982. They moved to Ripon, Calif., in 1959. They were blessed with 6 children. She will be remembered as a devout believer whose love for the Lord was reflected in her strong work ethic, her humility, and her dedication to her family, for whom she hosted a family meal biweekly.

She was an active member of Immanuel Christian Reformed Church for 73 years, and volunteered for many charities. She had a constant smile and loved to laugh. She enjoyed golfing and spending time with the friends she deeply cherished.

Left to mourn her passing are her children: Daryl Moret, Wayne (Gina) Moret, Merle Moret (deceased but now reunited), Marcia Benson, Marilyn (David) Mora, and Dianne (Brian) Oliver, her brother, Adrian Kuipers, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roger Moret, and brothers, John, August, and Cornie Kuipers, and sisters, Florence Kallemeyn, Lena Vanden Bosch, and Effie Bolt.

A funeral service was held at Immanuel CRC on August 25, 2022, at 11 a.m.
