ORA LEE DEBOER DEAN
September 12, 1930 – May 17, 2021
Ora Lee (DeBoer) Dean, 90, of Littleton, Colo., died May 17, 2021.
Ora Lee was born at home in Edgerton, Minn., to John and Wiillemine DeBoer. Her uncle, Dr. H. DeBoer, delivered her. The older sister was not allowed to see the new baby, because she had whooping cough.
Ora Lee attended Edgerton grade and high school which was built by the WPA. After high school she enrolled at the University of Northern Colorado, where she met her future husband, Marvin Dean. They both received their degrees in Education. Before moving permanently to Littleton, they lived in Rocky Ford and Ft. Lupton, Colo. Ora Lee taught school in Littleton; retiring in 1987.
The couple traveled extensively in the U.S. and in Europe; Finally spending winters in Arizona. Ora Lee enjoyed many good friends and was an excellent bridge player.
She is survived by two sons; Ronald and Bradley, a daughter-in-law Carolyn, two grandchildren, Charles and Angela, and a sister, Maridell Rose.
