Principal Gilbertson receives award
Brian Gilbertson, principal of Edgerton Public Junior/Senior High School, has been named the 2025 High School Principal of the Year for the Southwest Division by the Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP). Regional honorees become eligible for the statewide Principal of the Year award announced later in the year.
Gilbertson was notified of the honor during the MASSP Southwest Division meeting on April 30 and was recognized at the MASSP Summer Conference held June 23–26 in Duluth.
“I’m truly grateful for the recognition,” Gilbertson said. “I’m privileged to work alongside some of the best who make the day-to-day schooling experience for our students the best it can be.”
“We’ve worked hard to adapt to a constantly changing world, focusing on preparing students for careers in fields that don’t even exist yet.
Gilbertson has served as principal at Edgerton Public for 18 years, joining the staff in the Fall of 2007.
