Lucille Kay Sundquist

Lucille Kay (Kleinjan) Sundquist, age 72, of Brooklyn Park, Minn., passed away peacefully on Sunday March 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A memorial service was held for Lucille on Saturday April 12, 2025, at Our Savior’s Church located at 8209 Zane Ave N, Brooklyn Park, Minn.
Lucille was born on October 9, 1952, in Pipestone, Minn. Lucille was the daughter of Ervin and Nancy Kleinjan. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Lucille’s warmth and kindness touched everyone she met.
Lucille spent her life dedicated to her family and church. She had a heart that knew no bounds and always put the needs of others first. Her generosity, sense of humor, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Lucille served as an Elder and Sunday School teacher at Our Savior’s Church. She enjoyed the fellowship and was known for her commitment and thoughtful support. She spent her spare time reading and taking walks through the park, finding joy in the simple moments and cherishing time spent with loved ones. Lucille never failed to brighten the lives of those around her.
Lucille is survived by her husband, Arman Sundquist; son, Marc Sundquist (Connie); granddaughter, Genevieve; siblings, Linda Schacht and Kevin Kleinjan (Brenda); and granddogs, Bentley and Garth Sundquist.
She was preceded in death by parents, Ervin and Nancy Kleinjan; and brother-in-law, Tom “Big Duke” Schacht.
Lucille’s legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was a true gift to this world, and she will never be forgotten.
