Lavonne (Von) Roelofs
Lavonne (Von) Roelofs, 87, of Edgerton died July 30, 2024. A private Celebration of Life was held with Von’s family and friends. Lavonne was born on May 18, 1937, to William and Clara Beckering. She was a 1956 graduate of Edgerton Public School. Von met Bob Roelofs and they were married May 8, 1959, in Edgerton. The marriage was blessed with two children, Rick and Holly. Von worked at Fey Industries for many years. She loved working there and especially enjoyed the social part of the job. She loved gardening and keeping her garden beds weed free. She was a kindhearted and caring person who loved to share a good cup of coffee with her friends. Von is survived by her husband, Bob; children: Rick Roelofs, Mission Viejo, Calif., and Holly Sorensen, Springfield, Missouri; two grandchildren: Alec Sorensen, St. Louis, Mo., and Jenna Sorensen, Jacksonville, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Clara Beckering.
