2nd grade

As second graders, we have been learning about what it means to be a citizen. We are citizens of the United States, of Minnesota, our county, and of our town.

As a guest speaker, we invited Edgerton’s mayor, Mr. Kirk Bleyenburg, to talk to us about what it means to be a good citizen. He talked to us about his job as a mayor, and told us that he doesn’t work alone, he works with the city council which is made up of 4 people who help him make decisions. The people living in the community of Edgerton have the right to talk to the mayor or a city council member if they have ideas of how to make our community a better place to live.  It is our responsibility to work together in our community.  When we become adults, we have the right and responsibility to vote for people to make decisions about our city and our country.

We love our country and our community. We thank God for the freedom to live here.

4th grade

The fourth graders recently worked with snap circuits in Science class as part of a unit on electricity. Students enjoyed trying different methods to make their circuit work. Each group was able to successfully create one or more circuits.
