School News From Kingdom Kids 3s Class

Hello from the 3’s class at Kingdom Kids Preschool! We have had a busy January and it’s been SNOW much fun! We have been learning all about winter—from what kind of clothes we wear in winter, what our favorite outdoor winter activities are, to Arctic animals like penguins and polar bears. We learned snow forms when tiny ice crystals in the clouds stick together to become snowflakes. Did you know snowflakes have 6 sides, yet they all look so different from each other? We read the book The Tiny Snowflake by Arthur Ginolfi and learned how we are a lot like snowflakes. We are all created by God in His image, yet we are so uniquely different from one another. Isn’t God amazing?!

Now that we are able to recognize our names, we are working hard on learning which letters are in our names and putting them in the correct order. Some of us have it easy with only 3 letters, while others have as many as 8! We finished learning our colors, so now we are moving on to shapes. Circles were the first shape we learned, and we discovered a lot of our favorite foods are in the shape of a circle. Cookies, pizza, and donuts—YUM!

Some of the Bible stories we have been learning about are David and Goliath, Jonah and the whale, and Daniel in the lion’s den. Once again, we see how powerful our God is. He can do miracles! We talked about how David, Jonah, and Daniel weren’t scared because of their strong faith in God. These stories remind of Psalm 56:3: “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” What a great reminder for us all!
