With the Christmas season upon us, the team members at Fey Industries in Edgerton continue to “Brighten the World” through their Christmas Blessings Program. In this program, team members have the opportunity to adopt a child or a family to purchase gifts for, which were delivered early the week of December 19, for parents to go through and give to their children.

This year 32 families (over 80 children) were blessed by this program.

Many of the volunteers approach this program as a way to give back and care for the community. Linda Wieme has been participating in the Christmas Blessings Program all nine years she has spent working at Fey Industries. “Life has been good for my family and I just want to share it with those struggling.”

Similar to Linda Wieme, Jana Willey has been participating in the program for many years. Jana loves all things Christmas and finds fulfillment giving back during this season. “It enriches my heart to do this program and to be able to put smiles on the kids’ faces.”

In his first year at Fey Industries, Mark Schlosser was able to deliver some of the gifts and see how this program blesses the community. “I wanted to participate in the Christmas Blessing Program because I know first-hand what it is like to struggle. Growing up very poor, Christmas was a serious financial burden on my parents that I didn’t fully understand until I was a father myself. To be able to give these families some assistance goes further than just financially; it is also a reminder of the reason we celebrate this holiday; the birth of Jesus Christ.”
