A Light Show!

Last week Wednesday, Edgerton had its first Holiday Parade of Lights. There were about 20 parade entries for the inaugural year.

The parade was led by Santa Claus who was given a ride in a decked out Chevrolet truck. Edgerton Emergency services and the Pipestone County Sheriff’s office also participated. There were floats from local businesses and some people brought out their Gators, Mules, Rangers, and golf carts.

The weather was cold and a little windy, but many commented on how nice it was to be outside and enjoying the holiday season.

After the parade, a special tree lighting ceremony was held outside First State Bank Southwest. The community tree was provided by the Edgerton Chamber of Commerce. After the tree was lit, folks enjoyed cider and sang Christmas carols led by Tom Bouma from KD Radio.
