Chandler Has A New Restaurant

Chandler once again has a restaurant. Earlier this year, the Chandler Mexican Grill closed. Manny and Maya (Diaz) Garcia have purchased the business from Elizabeth Salazar-Campos.

The new restaurant will be called Farmer’s Kitchen and Bar. However, for now, there are no bar services because the Garcia’s are still working on getting a liquor license.

The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. They also plan to be open a few evenings, but are still working out those details.

They had a soft opening the weekend before Thanksgiving and officially opened on Monday, Nov. 22. They hosted a lunch meeting for a local business and the Chandler Happenings Facebook page put the word out that they were open. They ended up being quite busy the first few days as the owners and their employees were learning the ropes.

Their menu includes traditional breakfast and burgers for lunch. There is also Hispanic food like burritos and tacos available. Manny is still working on developing the menu to fit the local needs and desires.

The Garcia’s live in Jasper.
