Retires From John Deere
Last week Friday, Jerry Langstraat retired from C&B Implement in Edgerton. Jerry has been with the Edgerton John Deere dealership for 24 years.
He, along with two others, puchased Brink Implement in 1997. He would own the company for about 10 years before selling it to C&B Operations in March of 2008.
He stayed on as manager for about another 10 years. For the past four years he has been a salesman.
Jerry and his wife, Joy, plan to retire to the lake. They have a home on Lake Benton and Jerry hopes to do more fishing. Joy has worked in hospital administration but is currently in between jobs.
The couple has three grown daughters – Tracy Hadler, Maricia Pronk, and McKenzie Ihlen.
Jerry says his favorite part of work over years has been interacting with all the customers.
An open house retirement party was held at C&B Equipment last Friday. There were John Deere cupcakes, coffee and pop.
