SCHOOL NEWS this week from SWC Schools -Kingdom Kids

We are having a great fall in Kingdom Kids 4’s Class! We have 11 kids in the morning class and 10 in the afternoon. We’ve had fun with apples and pumpkins, and we’ve worked a lot on how to be good listeners and kind friends. We’ve learned some rhymes and songs to help us remember letter sounds A-D, and we made applesauce pancakes to help us remember the secret code for the A sound. They were yummy!

We’ve learned about how apples and pumpkins grow. Did you know that God put a STAR inside of an apple?! Last week we painted pumpkins in a patch and we microwaved our paintings to make them bumpy! This week we are examining the signs of fall we brought to school, and we compared, counted and graphed the colors of fall leaves we brought in.

We had some fun with opposites, and are busy learning action rhymes to go with the numbers we have learned, 1-4. We are listening for rhyming words in stories, and we play some games to hear beginning sounds, too. We work on recognizing each number and counting sets of objects, and we practice our colors with a speedy color dancing game. It’s fun for us to have handwriting books to learn the correct way to hold crayons and to write letters and numbers, and we know a fun song to help us remember to begin letters AT THE TOP!

Our Bible stories began with God creating the world by JUST speaking things into being! We learned a really fun, fast action song about what God created on each of the days of Creation. We are now learning about God’s special plan for Jacob and Joseph, and we know that He has a plan for us, too!
