Eagles Trip Up Bluejays on Parent’s Night

By Skip Hunter –

The SWC soccer team finished up its week with a game against Central Minnesota Christian. The Eagles and Bluejays had played hard in Wilmar with the Eagles coming out on top. Last Friday was gray and drizzly, but the day was brightened by a lot of orange as the Eagle honored the memory of Craig Fey with orange shirts and shoe-laces. The match was close throughout, but the Eagles made a shot in the final 4 minutes to win 2-1.

The Eagles could only manage 4 shots on goal in the first half. Jaden Barron made a nice little pass to Micah Schaap for an Eagle goal. CMC also scored in the first half and the teams took a break with a 1-1 on the “scoreboard”. The Bluejays had 10 shots on goal. Eagle goalie Jarett Kuipers had 7 saves, one of which was outstanding.
