Float Winners Awarded Prize Money

Last week, the Dutch Festival Committee awarded the winning float with their cash prize.
The Greg and Melissa Masselink family, along with the AJ and Mary Brands family, won the first place prize at the 71st Annual Dutch Festival. The prize this year for first place was $1,000! Spencer Mesman, member of the festival planning committee, presented them with the check.
Greg Masselink said that their family is going on vacation soon and plans to spend some of the money on that, but they also plan to take everyone who helped with the float out for supper and they may buy some supplies for their next float.
