On Friday, May 7, the Southwest Christian/Edgerton track team traveled to Mountain Lake to compete in the Mt. Lake Invite #4. This was a triangular meet with SWC / E, Mountain Lake Area – Comfrey and Westbrook – Walnut Grove/Red Rock Central. It was a comfortable day with very little wind. The Eagle squad made the most of the nice weather and had some outstanding performances.

The SWC/E squads had an excellent day as the girls and boys both won the team titles. In fact, in the five meets that we have competed in, the girls and boys have won the team title in all five. The girls tallied 124 points which was well ahead of second place MLA-C with 29. WWG/RRC was right behind with 27. The SWC / E boys’ team scored 104. MLA was a distant second with 64. WWG/RRC was third with 12. Scoring was 5-3-2-1 for individual events and 5-3 for relays.

Highlights for the girls squad was winning 15 of the 18 events and had a sweep of the four relays. Also Braelyn Kracht lowered her school record time in the 300 hurdles. On the boys side, 11 wins of the 18 events were captured with a sweep of all six field events.
