First grade news
We are blossoming into great readers and writers. We even put on a class play! We took turns with the different character parts. We are also great mathematicians. We are counting up to our 100th Day of School. We are excited!
Second grade news
It’s hard to believe we are half way through the school year already! We’ve been busy working on all our different skills and subjects.
In math we’ve been learning how to regroup when we add and subtract double digit numbers. In reading we’ve been learning about different character traits, and how they often change throughout the story. We also have been talking about the author’s purpose for writing different stories. In science we’ve spent time talking about the earth and its resources. In social studies we’ve been learning about Martin Luther King Jr. and how he made a difference using peaceful ways. We hope we can find a way to make a difference too.
One of the things we really like is writing in cursive. It makes us feel so grown up!
