Vander Stoep Furniture Suffers Great Loss From Fire
On Monday afternoon, the Edgerton Fire Department was called to Vander Stoep Furniture and Flooring. Shortly before 1:30 p.m., the trucks were on the scene and fighting fire and extensive smoke in the rafters.
At the time of this printing, the official cause of the fire was not known.
The Chandler Fire Department also responded with mutual aid. With 90 degree temperatures outside that afternoon, the work was exhausting.
On Wednesday, June 3, the owners were planning to celebrate 90 years of business with an open house.
