Gay Lynn Drooger, the director of the Edgerton Summer Recreation Program, has been working to still have a summer rec program that conforms to the states health guidelines.
All summer rec activities will begin the week of June 15. Because of COVID-19 there will be some restrictions. For more information or to sign up you can check out the Edgerton Summer Rec Facebook page called Edgerton MN Summer Rec. This page will have information, but parents should rely on emails from Gay Lynn for their information.
Pee Wees will start with students divided into groups of 10. They will separate by grade as much as possible. Each group of 10 will be led by one staff member working on baseball basics appropriate for each grade. After the first week or two, they will create teams. Games will hopefully be able to start on July 6.
Parents are encouraged to drop off their child. If they wish to stay, they should bring their own lawn chair and spread out.
Children should also bring their own gloves and bats. Specifics on all activities will be posted early next week.
New to summer rec this year is adult pickle ball lessons and/or a morning or evening league available to men and women.
Contact Gay Lynn for more information by email at gdrooger@edgertonpublic.com.
